The Third & The Seventh

The Third & The Seventh is a short film released in 2010 by Spanish artist Alex Roman whose computer graphics background and architectural passion brought together this wonderful film. The title of the film is based on Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel’s “Lectures on the Aesthetics” which states that there are five forms of art; sculpture, painting, architecture, music and poetry which where later modified by theorist Ricciotto Canudo who added; dance and cinema. Therefore the name refers to the third and seventh forms of art. What is impressive apart from the film's beauty is that it is entirely made using computer generated imagery or CGI. Five years later this film continues to be one of the most beautiful and well made architectural shorts.
