The Desert Garden

Located at The Huntington within its beautiful Botanical Gardens, The Desert Garden with more than 5000 different species of cacti and succulents is one the world's largest collection of desert fauna. The garden has grown from its origins in the early 1900's as a small patch of land to a 10 acre area which includes 2000 species of desert plants and 3000 species of vulnerable succulents enclosed in a separate greenhouse. Let's begin with a quick introduction to "Rocky" who was kind enough to show me around his beautiful home amongst the desert plants.
